At the beginning of August 2019, we put our new filling machine into operation in Mainhausen.
This allows us to fill up our reactive resins even more quickly and precisely. For one thing, the machine is able to fill and then seal canisters and hobbocks of between 2 and 30 litres. And secondly, it can be used for so-called coordinate filling, in which up to four drums – placed on a pallet – can be filled. Silikal’s Managing Director Hubert Weimann had this to say: “In the past, the filling process was a bottleneck. We were able to produce large volumes, but we had to do the filling by hand, which was pretty time-consuming. With the new machine this is quicker and more precise, and we are able to improve the availability of the individual containers. And, last but not least, the machine makes life easier for our staff. Operation is programme-guided and easily controlled via a display.” Everyone involved is pleased about this successful acquisition which serves to further optimise our service.
