Since the outbreak of the pandemic, we have been focusing all our measures on the safety of our employees and readjusting them as new findings come to light.
Based on the legal requirements and additionally with impulses for our entire team, we have so far steered well through the unusual pandemic situation. Production was quickly switched from one-shift to two-shift operation with 7 hours each, with no change in pay. The teams do not meet each other in the interim phase and hand over tasks without contact. The administrative staffs are usually in home office or in the office on a rotating basis and according to weekly schedules. The usual rules such as ventilation, mandatory masks, hand disinfection and keeping a distance apply in all office areas. We have provided our employees with FFP2 masks free of charge – in sufficient quantity so that they can also be used privately. And even before the introduction of compulsory testing, we had self-tests in use.
Our sales representatives work almost exclusively in the home office because of Corona requirements. Thanks to telephone calls and video calls, most customer enquiries and conversations can be handled comprehensively and effectively. Only in urgent cases do our sales representatives visit the customers on site.
By the way: Instead of our popular Silikal product training courses, which have not been allowed to take place in person for more than a year, we increasingly offer advice by telephone. Our application technology team is happy to answer practical questions by phone or video call – directly and individually.
