Bremen: Wet and windy

Our MMA floor coatings with different anti-slip properties ensure increased safety when floors get wet.

Maik Bergomaz, Silikal field representative and applications engineer, was part of our team at this February’s “fish international” trade fair in Bremen, and reported about some of the concrete inquiries from visitors to the fair: “The anti-slip properties of our products were often the topic of conversation. The fact that water is always present in the breeding, farming and processing of fish means that floors are constantly getting wet and can be dangerous if they do not have anti-slip properties. The floors also have to be hygienic. This is another advantage our MMA coatings have to offer.” Silikal may have the solution for water, but even we couldn’t do anything to stop the wet and windy conditions brought by storm “Sabine”, which did affect visitor numbers somewhat on the final day of the fair. “Nevertheless”, Maik Bergomaz continued, “we were really pleased with how the trade fair went, and we had some very concrete inquiries and detailed discussions.”
The trade fair organisers counted 10,302 visitors from the trade (compared with 12,203 visitors in 2018) and were pleased to see numbers fall less than expected due to the winter storm.
