Construction offices and municipalities intend to modernize transportation structures and implement such improvements rapidly, straightforwardly and sustainably.
This works well with Silikal products. Doris Keil, Head of Sales Back Office and authorised signatory for Silikal, says: “Our guiding systems for blind people offer the responsible administration agencies a safe and rapid solution for public spaces accessible for people with impairments. Quick installation and high-quality material are the key benefits of our ground surface indicators.”
The Silikal TAC-WAYflex ground surface indicators are factory-produced cold plastic tiles on a methyl methacrylate (MMA) basis rendering them flexible and impact-proof. These characteristics also withstand temperature fluctuations and frost. The tiles with a size of 300 mm x 300 mm have an anti-skid and non-slip surface. Their finish with ribs or studs complies with DIN 32984 “Tactile walking surface indicators in public areas”. The installation of the ground surface indicators is simple. It is performed using the two-component adhesive Silikal R 90. The processing temperature range is from +5 °C to +35 °C.
If it is about improved transportation structures, the marking of tracks – even as a high-contrast marking – is also recommendable as regards modifications. Silikal RM Area Grip is perfect for this; it is a high-quality and rapidly installed marking product for outside surfaces such as bike lanes, pavements, parking and other spaces.
